Here we go again
So here we go again.....
I'm currently mother to a very sassy, independent 3 year old little girl. I'm also 40 weeks pregnant with daughter number two. Literally waiting her arrival any day..... although if she's anything like her sister she will keep me waiting another 2 weeks.
So why am I writing this? I wouldn't call myself an "experienced" mom - I have literally no idea what I'm doing day in, day out. But what I do know is, I have learnt a few things from my first innings that I'm going to try and avoid second time round.
Everyone keeps telling me every baby is different, and I really hope that's true. Not because I regret anything about daughter number one.....I just really struggled back then. I'm hoping to go into this second experience with a different mindset - and definitely lower expectations! Although they say that the transition from 1 to 2 is a difficult one, so this will probably bring a whole different set of challenges!
But this blog is mainly therapy for me, and possibly, in turn, helpful to someone else. I see so many mom blogs talking about great days out and tuff trays and baking. I don't see many talking about pubic synthesis dysfunction or pelvic floor strength or relationships. I was never broody or maternal. Motherhood does not come naturally to me, it requires a lot of thought and effort. So I thought a diary style blog will hopefully cover the full spectrum of motherhood. Second time round.
